From half a mile away
I caught site of you
Nothing extraordinary at first
As you came into view
My heart quickened its pace
And as our eyes connected
My heart fluttered quickly
Feeling like a hummingbird
Had captured my chest
And attempting to fly
As an attempt to escape
Yet as I was
Instinctively drawn to you
Pulled in flight
Quickly and without control
Like a hummingbird I hovered
And we both arrived
In the same orbit together
Both enthralled and mesmerized
As we both came together in flight
And finally everything around us
Faded out as we connected together
Iris to soul on lunar light beams
