Watching as the rain falls down
Softly, softly to the ground,
I am crying tears of sorrow,
Hoping for a better 'morrow
As I sit 'neath a willow tree,
A passerby comes to me,
She brushes away all my tears,
And helps me face all my fears,
As she starts to take my hand,
She gives me the strength I need to stand,
I thank her for she's like no other,
She took me in, she is my mother
Author notes
This poem I actually wrote a couple months back for my fostermom, whom I have been living with since I was three. She saved me from abuse and made me the person I am today. Love u mom!
