As the water cascades down,
Something in my soul has found,
That love and life grow without bound,
-Gentle feelings
As I look down at the pool,
Of the water calm and cool,
Always kind and never cruel,
-Are the way
Swimming through the ocean deep,
Looking down at drop-offs steep,
As we pray the lord to keep,
-We show our love.

Judging of the Contest, Nature Heals. The entries were all so beautiful. The gold trophy was easy to judge. “Tree of Love” for option number 2. The rest weren’t quite so clear cut. I awarded a trophy for each best entry per option, and then honorable mentions for the other two. I must admit, I have a real soft spot for mothers and grandmothers. And these were the two that won the silver and the bronze. “Precious Radiant Gem” won the silver for option number 3. After reading this poem, it was one that stayed with me to the end; the endearing love of a mother represented by a gem always worn about the poet’s neck. “Beautiful Ray of Perfection” won the bronze for option number 1. I was extremely moved by this eloquent and loving tribute to the poet’s grandmother. These were both new poems that were written specifically for this contest. If there were more trophies to give out, many more would have won. I gave “The Laughing Brook” an honorable mention for option #4. “The Touch of a Friend” won an honorable mention for option #5. There were 22 more honorable mentions; and here is the list. All lovely and worthy of this and more. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for all of your entries, especially the ones that wrote especially for this contest. A special thanks goes To the other judges, Theresa and Nikki, whose help was invaluable. We were unanimous about the gold trophy. If you have time, I highly recommend that You read “Tree of Love” . It is one of the most beauteous poems that I have read in a long time. All of the contest entries were commented on at least once by me and the other judges. I enjoyed reading them all and felt extremely enriched by it. I loved this from start to finish and I love the way the ending lines formed a quote. Just beautiful. Amazing imagery and flow. Thanks for entering and good luck in the contest

That was magical; and so very gentle and sweet! I loved it - and it made me feel all of the peaceful, healing qualities of water. Thank you for entering your lovely poem in this contest! I liked the message that it portrayed about love.
