Amber a young girl at the age of Sixteen. Her mother passed away when she was only in Sixth grade, her father Physically, Verbally, and Mentally abused her all her life, until finally he was taken to jail. Now living with her step-father, her life has gotten worse. Her mother a Christian, her father an atheist, and her step-father agnostic.
Amber was always a Christian...and didn't care how many times her father beat her for the belief...she didn't care how many times her step-father yelled at her about it.
Until after her mother died, after Amber's mother died, she lost all faith...she no longer believed there could be a God or a Jesus. After Amber's mother died...all hope, all faith was lost.
Amber sits on a swing alone in the windy night...thoughts of suicide running through her head.
Amber turns, and pulls her out her pocket knife, thinking, thinking, thinking...she finally takes the blade to her wrist....
A man walks over just in time to stop her.
The man sits on the swing next to Amber,
"You know I always liked sitting in the park at night."
"I...I...just..." Amber fell on the man's lap and started to cry.
"I understand, it's okay...the world is full of challenges, Amber."
Amber looked up, into the man's eyes...and saw, what she could never describe...
"There, there...Amber, your mother is safe with me, she's with me now Amber."
"But...who...?"
"I am everything." said the man.
Amber stood as the man started to walk away, not knowing what to say she just stood there and watched as the Man disappeared into the darkness.
Please, Tell me what you think.

I'd just like to add that not all atheists are wife bashers and bastards. My father died when I was 15, I lived on the streets, I had to repeat high school, I'm now a nurse, I pay my taxes, I keep to the speed limit, I've never touched drugs (including cigarettes) and drink in moderation.... and I'm an atheist.
Belief =/= bad or good.... For every Stalin there's a KKK. -
This is such a powerful story of how He can come just when we need Him the most. He can gives us what we need to keep on going in that moment. I so relate to that, having an abuse background myself.
Well written!

Awesome story!! It's amazing how He seems to come at the lowest points in our lives, and saves us from doing any real harm. I loved this, beautiful story.

Blessings,

I wrote something similar to this awhile ago, and I remmbered about that Man being Jesus, how He just shows up in our lives and changes absolutely everything..rescuing us from death. This was great.

This is beautiful, and yet so sad. This girls life is a mess.
I love how you've captured it and have produced an image in the readers head. I can really imagine her sitting in the park and a man/God/an angel stopping her from something she'll regret.
Beautiful Write. be proud, especially at your age.
