Forgive me father
for I have sinned
I have not confessed
since god knows when.
Lets start small
I hope you have the time
they're gonna get big
there is so much to forgive.
I do not pray before I sleep
nor before I eat
I speak ill of too many
and look down to all.
I use white lies
all the day through
Bigger lies
just to avoid you.
The list goes on
but I will skip a few
just to get down to the reason
I came to see you.
I have not excepted
my lord and savior
for I can not believe
that he watches over me.
If he lets us go to war
watches sons and daughters die
blood shed in the streets
how can I believe?
Lets our families die
watch the world end
blood shed at his feet
why would he care about me?
Now I will leave
since I spoke my truth
I may be a sinner
but what are you?

I know a lot of people ask those very questions. The only thing that can be said is that there is a plan for everything, and life is not guaranteed to be a hundred percent happy. God is not guaranteed to keep tragedies from happening, but He is there when they happen and helps you cope and get you through it. Thank you for entering the contest, good luck.
