I lay the path to my future
with careful precision,
each stepping stone
set in a line towards my goals.
There is no waivering
I must land upon each,
until the horizon
of fulfillment is reached.
Yet life is full of dreams
that have a habit of interweaving,
as the path twists and turns
slowing the journey.
These are the ripples
of a soul in spontaneous abandon,
and the journey becomes richer
for following fantasies.
Back upon my pathway
with a spirit filled with joy,
stones are skipped
as mere details become meaningless.
The goals are less important
than the visions achieved along the way,
swim in oceans of illusions
and enrich the voyage of exploration.

Sorry, I'm not very good about getting around to other sites very often. But I loved this piece, and the picture. My favorate stanza was :
"These are the ripples
of a soul in spontaneous abandon,
and the journey becomes richer
for following fantasies."
I just loved the way the words sounded together, and the images it brought to mind.
Would you mind if I put it in the list of quotes on my page? I'll put your screen name at the end. It's one of those things that makes me happy when I read it.

Yes, as I have learned after being disappointed at not achieving goals, the journey is the joy. Well written
