*Whenever he can, David chooses songs with a thoughtful, spiritual, uplifting message.
This poem is a Clerihew (named after the man who invented this type of poetry which contains four lines that rhyme about a famous person). Since millions of people watch American Idol, I think David qualifies as a famous person.
David Archuleta is one of six contestants on American Idol. He stands a good chance of winning the competition. I think he's a great role model for today's teenagers. He has all the qualities an Idol should have. HE'S ALSO VERY TALENTED AND A REALLY NICE GUY! I'm sure he will GIVE BACK when he becomes a STAR! Let's make David the next American Idol by voting for him in the weeks to come!

Another bit of trivia..."The Long and Winding Road" was The Beatles' last #1 hit.
I'll buy David's CDs. I wish him all the luck in the world (although I don't think he needs it).

I read a poem the other day here on AP about some Australian guy that got the boot on Idol, don't remember the name. I never watch the show though I like Simon's style.
What does Simon think of David?
He sings good but I wouldn't buy his CD, but then again, it's not my kind of music...it's not The Beatles"
But if you want him to win, cool, I'll root for him.

Michael Johns was the Australian who got the boot on Idol. Simon likes David Archuleta a lot! This past week he told David he would sail through the next round! All the judges talk about him setting the bar for the other contestants. Thanks for rooting for David to win because I want him to. I really appreciate that!

He is a good singer. Hm... But he is not my favorite. I don't remember my favorite's name off of American Idol. *confusingly scratches chin* I think the guy you're talking about will make it to the top, though. He's a great singer. Make more poetry! And... This isn't that great of a poem
