As the days go by,
I realize more and more,
How much You really mean to me.
You show Yourself to me
In the simplest forms,
Yet it's so complex.
The signs are everywhere.
You shine through
The darkest window in my life,
Beaming down upon
The road I never saw.
Everytime I stray,
I hear You in the wind.
I see You in my reflection.
I feel You in my heart.
You call to me,
Open Your arms,
And let me know You still love me.
You always will.
You are my Savior.
My Lord, my love,
The One I can turn to,
When I am empty inside,
Knowing that You
Can fill that void.
And I thank You, Christ,
For all You have done.
For understanding me
When I couldn't understand myself.
For pointing me in the right direction
When I couldn't tell left from right.
And for loving me unconditionally
When I thought I deserved nothing.
What an awesome God you are.
I am proud to follow You, Lord.
I love You, Jesus.

I never really wrote anything spiritual before. I felt I just had to let it flow. I love my Lord unconditionally, and a few men brought up Christ today and I came to the conclusion that he is even more amazing than I thought.

So-so
Let me first say this is no personal attack or on the content or sentiment whatsoever. I felt this poem to be a little deja-vu, cliche. The words you used feel like the standard 'I'm resurrected, Jesus-saved' testimonial. 'The road I never saw' shows promise as a title, but to my feeling this promise is left unfulfilled. To my view writing a poem isn't simply letting it flow. That is the basis of course, but never be satisfied with the first draft. Poetry is an art, a craft; you're crafting a work of art. Try something inventive with your phrasing, play with some metaphors and imagery. Look up a poem by Robert Frost 'The Road Less Travelled', maybe this piece can spark some extra creativity. Again the title show promise and the stanza:
'The signs...I never saw.' is a cut above the rest. Try to build from that point. And above all never lose your poetic spark and drive. A poet's (writer's) motto should be: I write, therefore I am. -

i hear what your saying. thanks for the feed back, not too many people actually take the time to be constructive. ive actually read the poem by frost several times, its one of my favorites. i actually wrote this poem while lying in bed that night, half asleep and talking to my fiance. it was a 5 minute thing. lol but yea, thanks again for the constructive critique, i appreciate it and i will more than likely tweak this a bit. =)

A very good poem. God is awesome,and if we look around He shows us everyday. Great flow to the poem with smooth transition without losing any of the awesomnous of God.
