The stars twinkle in her eyes
Her daddy walks her down the aisle
She wants to wipe away the tears that he cries
He's letting her go, the years gone by so fast
It seems like just yesterday a tricycle she rode
but today is here, 18 years have past.
At the first pew, her parents give her away.
Tears roll down the faces as the march ends
her momma and daddy wish she could stay.
They say the I Do's and the angels sing
the groom kisses the bride, finally husband and wife
as they walk, rice is thrown, the church bells ring
Twenty Years later the church still the same
the once newlyweds give away their first child
once wild and in love, he'll always be her flame
once again the I Do's are said
the angels sing, and the rice is throw
there stood her daddy twenty years ago.
