a heart I hold so dear.
In a land so fare
and wide with hope,
a soft sweep across thy field.
I smile upon the face I see
the face of a golden heart.
the land where freedom reigns so neer.
the land where love needs no words
and the waters wave so clear,
where hands colide
to share the tale
of the greatest love thy know
I know this land by heart and soul
and never shall I leave,
never shall there be a greater acquire
then my home of Ireland
Author notes
though short tis to the point of the love of Ireland... they always have songs and poems of how sad and depressing Ireland is, and indeed there is a past of sorrow there, but Ireland... I can't find the words...
Ireland is my heartland and I love that land, death do us part.
-Kaitlin (Caitlin, either one.lol. I do 'K' cause I think it is prettyer, but C is the true celtic version.)

Sometimes I am not very good at rhiming, but I try and just as everyone else, I have too express myself in the form of poetry.

Thank you very much, I find it hard and easy to write about Ireland, hard because there is so much to tell in so few words and easy because the poem just comes to me cause I love Ireland so much

Very touching sentment. I presume you're currently living in Ireland. The Irish seem to reveer their homeland more so than the rest of us I wonder why. It must be something in the water. Good write and happy trails
