Technically not a Haiku since Haiku's syllable count is 5-7-5 and this poems count is 7-7-7. Still this is a lovely piece, good imagery and word choice. Thank you for sharing and good luck!!

ah. It was another comment that lead me to believe this was a 'ku. Thanks for correcting me, I will have to read that longer piece though because even in the short there was some beautiful imagery and word choice. I'm off to take a look!
