Living in a world of deterioration
where throw away has become the catchcry,
fickle fingers of friendship often fade into decline
as thoughts of self become too prioritised.
On a planet where freedoms seem to be flowing away
we are left within aridity's sandstorm of loneliness,
under hands that seek to squeeze all vestige of pride
voices of pain shrink within ocean's of malice.
To fade away without fighting this tide of retreat
can never do justice to the human spirit,
let hands that attempt to decree decaying destiny
recede under hands of integrity and charity.

Excellent assessment on the 'root of the problem' (selfishness) that expresses itself in 'disposables' with high negative impact in both nature and relationships.
I am not sure what freedoms (exemptions from ties, restraints, commitments) "flowing away" you are referring to. Some see freedom from responsibility for their choices and their consequences as some kind of ideal. Beautiful phrasing, "aridity's sandstorm of lonliness"! Whose hands do you see as "squeez[ing] all vestige of pride" and "decree[ing] decaying destiny" for humankind? I think your counterpoint of "integrity and charity" is a great solution. Thank you so much for your entry in my contest!
