she, from otherwhere

jolie, oui
mais ce ne'st pas
le mot juste

vous etes magnifique
that is to say the least

the little baptisms on your back
  you are the om
to my mani
  a transcendence of religion
by far/
you reap upon my heart
  when you were near
was i ever Forced to write?

you came from fire
and left the rest out of image
  no prayer necessary
your wild heart is in habitat--
not trapped in captivity.

and still you are gentle
  the harmonies in your skin
so meticulously composed
  each compound fiber
a dynamic arrangement of
skin and
space

i don't dream of.

soft affectation;
lucid lullabies of waters,
waters of rivers

you are like a waterfall
in that with you
    everything plummets
instantly from the moment.

eyes--
twin verdant singularities

celestial infers only the heavens
but where do you come from, then?
otherwhere.

i shame.
close now; i feel that
i belong, i belong, i belong,
goddesses are mothers of fertility
are they not?

Author notes

my angel of inspiration.

literal french translation of the first few lines,
"pretty, yes
but that word does not do you justice"

then the other one says
"you are magnificent (gorgeous)" there's no direct translation of magnifique really, it means something of unfathomable beauty."

om in buddhism is bliss, state of paradise
mani symbolizes tangible envy, almost jealousy in a way.

Gentle, wild, gentle, wild, fire, harmony, lucid river, waterfall. I love your contrast in this write. And i like the conclusion...goddesses are mothers of fertility are they not? brilliant. Im not sure that I followed you wtiht eh "and left the rest out of image" line however. Probeably out of my own denseness. Not really many complaints about this though. I see a few places where a little more punctuation might be helpful, but thats your own creative lease. Otherwise, few complaints.

A powerful bit of writing... I love the integrated nature of your imagery, combining both the erotic and celestial in sharing your visions inspired by the picture... I find the total to be very pleasing both emotionally and as an admirer of poetry... Well done.

I'll reserve final judgement for Friday but wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your entry.
