Sweet Cologne

Hoping and praying with chills up my spine
I feel you are with me for the very last time
as you turn to walk I grabbed your hands
'please don't leave me' i said but you left me where I stand
tears on my cheeks and a spear through my heart
your truck leaves forever and yet i thought we would never part
I gave you everything
nothing left here but me
my heart has gone with you
but that is something you will not see
lacking the words
fearful of your reprimise
you proved to me you were just another of those guys
I ly here in bed watching the phone,
smelling the sweater that still bore your cologne
I know you have gone
but I cannot make myself see
you never really loved me
never saw me for me
