I'm so sick of being told that S/M is a psychiatric disorder... as recent as the '80s, homosexuality was still considered a psychiatric disorder... it's time for the APA to open their eyes and reconsider their stance.

this was fueled by this statement in an article I was reading last night:

"Several different genres of pornography exist. There are ones that celebrate incest, sadomasochism, slavery, and Nazi concentration camps. Titles such as Bend Over Brazilian Babes and Auschwitz Bitch feed into racial and religious hatred."

I resent being grouped with Nazis, especially.

And S/M does not promote violence toward women. Men are not only the dominant partner. Dommes/dominatrixes... whatever you'd like to call them... are very common.
