By the condition of humanity
There is a duty of everyone
To love all
But it is not by condition of humanity
Nor by the inviting duty
That allows unlimited love
It is rather the ability
To read a novel
Called “Humanity”
Let us begin
By speculation and surprise
Beings began to wonder
About creation and demise
As a spectacular tale
Stories, oh countless stories
As diverse as grains of sand
Began religious theories
Of all kind
Beliefs, ideas, and thoughts
Battled each other endlessly
Even with different mascots
One thing remained the same
Most taught
Love one another
So the question arises
Why is the condition of belief
Involved in the unconditioned love
Of their teachings?
By different areas and regions
Beings began to diversify
On customs and actions
They lived separately
Cultures, oh countless cultures
As diverse as grains of sand
Filled them with pride and filters
Of all kind
Cultures, customs, and creativity
Battled each other endlessly
Even with different stories
One thing remained the same
Most taught
Love your culture
So the question arises
Why is the condition of culture
Involved in the unconditioned love
Of their teachings?
By borders and walls
Beings began to create kingdoms
Of pride standing tall
As devotion became dissimilar
History, oh the history
As diverse as grains of sand
Filled them with bravery
Of all kind
Nations, Nationality, and Name
Battled each other endlessly
Even with different fame
One thing remained the same
Most taught
Love your neighbor
So the question arises
Why is the condition of nationality
Involved in the unconditioned love
Of their teachings?
These beings were always at odds
In religion, culture, and nationality
Due to the thought of frauds
Of their antagonistic view
Our novel has come to an end
Frustrated with no answer
On the source of unlimited love? Do not worry
For the simple answer
Lies in each of us
In a question we must contemplate
Are you a protagonist
in your religion, culture, and nationality
In the story of “humanity”?
Are others antagonists
in their religion, culture, and nationality
In the story of “humanity”?
For the mere expression
Of unconditional love
Lies simply with this thought
We are loving unconditionally
With recognizing that everyone is playing the part
Of a protagonist in this human story.
Are you ready to begin?

I really like the story metaphor...it makes me think of my awesome history teacher. And I also liked the part about the walls, it relates to what you said about the concept of "nations" being the cause for most every war.
