Dull Legend

A shadow while the sun shines
A blinding flash at night
The legendary Phoenix
Magnified by might

The cry of blessed Phoenix
Mythology in song
Until her eyes had seen it's shape
And mystery was gone

Then what should feel a legend -
The shadowed name - subsides
As 'precious creature' turned to 'friend'
His beauty was denied

"His beauty was denied.." This is going on my favorite poem page! How beautiful! It's saddening, like a train wreck happening but you cannot pull youself to pull away! It's just so....amazing! Wonderful work! Absolutely stunning

"Until her eyes had seen it's shape" wow I loved that stanza....it's a line only great poets can think of.....
And to speak of legends;...I believe to have a friend is way much better than to have a legend...a friends beauty is really precious to me...

Wonderful poem my friendyou're poetry might become a legend later on too
