Farewell My Friend

The time has come for you to depart
Leaving us all with sadness in our hearts
No matter what happened in each passing day
You always had the words and knew what to say
On our worst days when things were going wrong
You provided your support and the days didn’t seem so long
You’ve always managed to keep things together
And reached out your arms through the worst weather
You’ve brought so much sunshine into our lives
And showed us the way through our strives
You have been an inspiration, a confidant and a friend
An excellent co-worker, a mentor to the end
Words can not express how much you will be missed
Even though a lot of us will be very pissed
To leave us here, starting with the new
No one will ever compare to you
Yeah it’s sad that you have to go
But there’s something that you must know
As you spread your wings and move towards the best
You are incomparable to all the rest
This is not a goodbye but just farewell
Will we meet again? Only time will tell
So soar up high and fly above
