My therapist concluded to me one day,
"Girl, you've got to stop being this way."
But I don't think he understands
The feeling I get when the blade's in my hands
This choice is mine to make,
Seeing blood is the least I can take.
Heart waiting for me to pick up my blade,
This harmful choice now I have made.
I pull up my sleeve, take a look at my arm
See a few marks from last night's harm.
I bring the blade down right next to my skin,
The feeling of power cuts me deep from within.
After the episode, I feel really great,
No one understands what it's like at this state.
I feel like skipping and laughing with friends,
But I know this great feeling will come to an end.
Now I feel like crying, the sadness has begun,
I start to feel really bad for what I'd just done.
This roller coaster ride is never going to end,
I don't know whether to call the blade my friend.
This addiction requires sacrifice and pain,
Sometimes it's hard to keep hold on the reigns.
Get help before trouble starts to sneak along,
These are my words, and this is my song.

Did you like it? Sorry it was so dark, it's just that I had to get my feelings out, and I had a lots of inspiration I would like to use.

Cutting is something I don't understand either, but like a religious or supernatural encounter, it's something one can't quite grasp unless s/he has been there. It almost makes me wonder what passes through someone's head when he or she makes the decision to harm oneself. Thanks for entering, and good luck.

Hi, I am extremily impressed by this, i absolutly love it.Never has a poem took my breath away as much as this one. True emotions laid bare throughout. Your work is absolutly outstanding! I was shocked to see you are just 11. you are definatly going on my fav list xxx aslo thought id let u know i just tried to read 'the complete truth' but the page is white and it seems the writeing is also white as i can see it in the border. i would love to read it though as your page just left me speechless.xxx
