Their tongues flicker in distaste,
tinged with doubt, admonishing and warning,
that this "cyber-romance", they shout, "What a waste
of your time and energy! You'll end up mourning!"
Our fathers' angrily speak less, their silences scream
of their own personal weakness-- failed hopes crush,
their fears revisit them anxiously while we dream
of past lives merging into one consummate rush.
I patiently wait for time and distance to shrink,
for we are disciples of fate, and bind our souls in joy
the two halves, twin mates on kalopsia's brink
We await the great obstacles our passion will destroy.
Our friends are blind to our communion of minds,
for you, my hashish, I scour my thoughts to celibacy,
to remain unadulterated when your mouth finds
mine ignited, unprecipitated, lulling you to ecstasy.
Author notes
I've selected the option: 1C
"I whisper secrets just for you to hear"
Well, Hashish is Marijuana, and he is a "calming friend".
So here is the drug option symbolism: Weed = Calming Friend.
My boyfriend is Moroccan, and they export Hashish (concentrated Marijuana) in Morocco.

works for me...
Have always fancied herb, gear, hash... whatever variety, form, or name you give it. Interesting images and feelings come through...
I think I would enjoy Morocco..I know I love their export.

I liked this a lot. I liked the oxymoron "Silences scream." Makes me think of how people can say it's okay; but they disapprove either way.
I can relate to this in other ways as well.
It's a nice write. Good job. Very creative.
