You told me you loved me
I believed you,
the foolish girl I was.
You told me you'd always be there
I waited for your return,
what a stupid child i was.
You told me only you speak the truth.
I kept my ears shut from others point of view.
How silly did I seem?
You told me we'd be together no matter what.
I planned the big day.
What a joke I must have been.
Only now do I realise what you did.
The false hope and belief I had.
You were mocking me, and I didnt see it.
I was only a foolish chid then but I`m strong now.
So although it hurts to say it.
I forgive and thank you for making me who I am now.
