Tubby ? (ottoma rima)

My good friend was used to verbal abuse
As he did have a problem with his weight
His excessive flesh was flabby and loose
'It had nothing to do with what he ate'
He sat down to dine at any excuse
Was always anxious if supper was late
When he was called fat, "You must beware or;
I will make you my Only pall bearer."

    I still love the couplet. That reply is priceless! Clearly he was (is?) quite comfortable in his own skin, despite what others said to him. Thanks so much for entering my contest!

    Now there's a reply to make them think twice of what they say. -chuckles-
    Very amusing poem.

    Haha, this is really hilarious. Good rhyming,flow and form to the ottama rima. Love the last line especially. Thanks for sharing and keep writing.

    Hahaha! I'm sure such a reply would effectively silence any further such unsolicited advice. I really like this piece.
