A Pavement's Tale

Once well heeled gents
walked over me,
the famous and the fine.
I was the envy of the town
but now I'm in decline.

Where lords and ladies
walked on me,
now common people roam
and there are some,
I'm sad to say,
for whom I am their home.

I absolutely love this one. It's short and sweet. Very nice once again! Congratulations on the Bronze!

This is cute and creative. Congrats on your bronze trophy. Mice and rats do make homes in sidewalks. Good luck to you in your next writing endeavour.

This is brilliant I love the effortless rhythm that you have created and the take on the prompt is wonderful! Congratulations on the bronze, it was really well deserved. I just don't know what to say apart from that

    Keep writing
