Ghost In The Machine

Standing close to the edge of the world
Living in a virtual dream
The answer lies buried inside
The question is not what it seems
So take a closer look and tell me what you see
Is it just reflections of light that you saw after all!

Or a question of balance do you suppose?
I used to have one of those...

The papers all report with such regret
The second coming's been delayed due to the wet
But it's still right there on the cards
If you press them for more; it's written in the stars

Because...
There's a ghost in the machine so I'm told
It's either a dream or another vision foretold
I guess we're a part of it all
If it weren't for the weather
We wouldn't bother at all
It's another reason for us to explain
The lord's in a quandary because of the rain

Is it making much sense anymore?
The closer we get the harder the chore

I used have memories to share
They got lost in translation
But who really cares
Now I hold dear to this truth I recall
I must have written it down
But it got lost in the fall
And you ask me how it's going to be
We've been lost in this quagmire of being you and me

Because...

    Very good, I noticed that in line four the second 'is' should be it. Also, you repeat 'you see' in lines five and six which kinda messes it up for me. Reminded me a lot of songs by My Chemical Romance.
