Flower 1/19/08

The prettiest flower that anyone knew of
only bloomed at night. The weeping willow
tree was her lover, his leafy
breath helping her grow. She died one
evening, with his hands around her neck.

I found this poem to be deliciously dark. The metaphor was appropriately developed. I do not agree that it was too short. I find that when a poem is finished in your heart, it is truly finished. Great job.

It was different to be certain, and while I liked it, I really think that if you added to this a bit it would be an awsome poem. I love the concept. Thanks for the entry
