Soldier’s wife

it really sucks to be a soldier's wife

dinner on the table,
the house is clean
im using my time to write a poem
because i really don't know when he will be home
he has so many things to do at work
im sitting here writing for you
what is he doing right now
driving home i really hope,
or is he sitting in the office?
Using our time while his dinner gets cold
i really don't know,
but i hope he gets home soon,
its too late for afternoon.
its past time for him to leave
still sitting in the office i believe 
is working on something for the commander?
has paperwork to turn in?
I sit here and wonder what happened to him.
He will be here soon i know,
it just sucks to spend all evening alone.
he is going to training next month

i will have an empty home 
Every night will be lonely like this 
it really sucks when your soldier you miss,

can't even give him that good night kiss. 
I hope he gets home soon
it's way beyond monday afternoon

    i can understand this from the opposite spectrum. i tend to a bestfriend's fiance who constantly questions me when her husband is to be back from training, doing paperwork, etc. constantly gone.

    this piece really came together because i understood each aspect of what you're going through in this write. and it was well executed. much enjoyed

    this is so sad but like Sarah45 said hes fighting 4 our country and it has inspired you to write beautiful poems. I mean i feel lonley sumtimes but nothing compares to "it really sucks when your soldier you miss,
    can't even give him that good night kiss." tht is so depressing. good write hun , stay strong

    i know it must be hard being a soldier's wife. but just hold on bc hes fighting for our country! and i bet nathan misses him a lot too. as long as u 2 have eachother, u can have fun and miss him..as long as u do it together, u can make it through. =)
