Author's Name: mountain-woman, though my real name is Michele

Age:Soon to be 54 in May and am happy to have made it over the 1/2 century old mark, though I don't feel much over 30 in my frame of mind

Genre of Poetry: All forms of poetry especially freewrite and prose where I can express my inner thoughts and feelings

How often are you on AP: Mostly everyday when I can be on here

who has been inspiration to write: There have been many poeple in my life, especailly family members, like my 3 daughters, my sister, my late husband and my present husband. People I have met online chatting, Deceits Tears, Moment-in-Rhyme, Woodchuck4400, Your Angel Tears, and Those I've met on AP, StarzofHeaven, HopeAngel, PoeticGrace, SeneritynChains, Lady Altheia, Poetic-Therom, ClarityofVision, KayJay46 and many more. My other inspiration to write poetry was that I really enjoyed many of the poets of the past such as E A Poe and Elizabeth Barrett Browning and found that I too could express myself as they had done.

My Likes: Are that of sharing time with my family, living in the wilds of Montana, listening to the wildlife especailly the wolves singing their songs in the middle of the night, nature at it's best, being creative in everything I do; ie. poetry, beadwork, cooking, being a Mom, life in general, and any challenges it may present to me, and I like my job as a home health provider, because it is one of the most rewarding jobs I have ever had. What I like most is life itself and my positivve outlook on anything, even if it's something very negative. I also like my job as a Home Health Care Provider and find deep satisfaction in helping the elderly have in their later years a good quailty of life. I have learned so many things about life through them.

My Dislikes: Are that of people who lie, cheat or steal, I don't have much respect for them. I don't like back-stabbers who claim to be my friends and most of all things that happen that I have no control over. I dislike people who treat other people who are different then they are and have always gone for the underdog, like children or adults with disabilities, life style, etc. I really don't like the way the world is headed, spiraling downward, with wars, hate, and disarray.

Why are you audtioning: Because I really like to express myself in poetry, share it with others, like to be offered suggestions and input to the poems I write, and I  find the challenge of what's thrown in front of me, gives me satistifaction and a release of how I feel about things.

Segment 2  Describe Yourself

            Decicated I am to my family and  my friends
            Listening to all who are in need of understanding.
            Positive I look upon things in my simple life
            My cup is always half full, not half empty.
            Lover of nature and all the surrounding beauty
            Fighting for underdogs has always been my code.
            Loving life to the fullest no matter what curves
            Have been toss my way never giving up the fight.
            Experiences welcomed helping me to grow internally
            Believing in rainbows that answer my humble prayers.
            Compassion and love for the world in which we live
            Helping others who are in need more than I am.
            Writing my poetry is an expression of whose inside
            A way to let others know that they are not alone.
            Communicating with words things I've held too long
            Relating to others here is what I've surely found.
            My favorite contests are all kinds of prompts
            Writing poetry is to me another form of storytelling.
            I write about what I see and emotions that I've felt
            Believing in hope, faith, love and God up above.
            My poetry often reflects things happening around me
            During many of the trials and tribulation in my life.
            I found this motto has help me get back on feet
            What doesn't kill you, just makes you stronger!
