On The Path To Heaven

On The Path To Heaven

late afternoon glowing,
soft and mellow
flutterings of innocence,
poised for flight

sun-kissed cheeks blushing,
tiny feet encrusted
with crystal grains of sand,
ready to go home

"will someone show me where to go
I seem to have lost my way"
