Lifting the Weight

The weight of the world can wait
Exasperated by the hate
Yearning for new thoughts to initiate

The trip can wait
Unable to go because of your refusal to change the date
Hours alone have given me time to contemplate
A little of their company goes a long way anyway
My best decision was to stay

Letting go of what they want me to be
Not allowing the pressures they present
Realizing the inside of me they can’t see

Tired of this indecision
Flying toward a fresh vision
Embracing a fate
Rising up from those who complicate

I feel as if I was lead to this poem of yours. Just today I was discussing this very same thing. I was saying that with my family I am not free to be me. I mean they do not accept the real me,and I have spent so many years pretending. I am tired of that, and am learning to pick and choose who I spend my time with. Just as you say here, rising up from those who complicate. Wonderful! Thanks for touching my heart with this write. Blessings, Patty

Rising up from those who complicate,

    confict should always be avoided

only you know who you are and what you believe

    always stand firm.

    love is unconditional

    and accepting.

powerful message you have penned my friend

    God bless...

    Wonderful

Line 10 was just beautiful. We must let go of what others want us to be. Otherwise how can we embrace the depth of our reality?

Intuition is always your best friend. Time to contemplate the right turn in the road. Your Title was so appropriate for the words that followed. I live by a silly motto: "If in doubt, just hang about ___ a while!" The right decisions are never made in haste. Best wishes my friend!
