I'm just so broken and useless tonight
I didn't know I could let my heart go
Your words are so strong and so daring
Like the wind who promised to take me home
You swept me up and carried me to your room
Those lips that taste like a cold winter's wine
That are always so good as it freezes the skin
My body's just so fragile and marred from the fight
That man just wouldn't let my poor heart go
His dark eyes were so cold and uncaring
Like those countless tears that fall and roam
He pushed me down into that loveless tomb
His very own striving rose in the captured sunshine
To fill the chamber where his heart has once been
The love I had felt for him had never seen the healing light
A kind of world that only he and I would know
Like a broken down ship that has lost it's bearing
I left the world behind to suffer in his gloom
With his arms like a vice I fell in love with time
For it allowed me to share my heart with him
