~Sleep~

Tension builds with every days pass.
Stress stains my once clear mind.
For now I'm blind.
The burden I heave,
I carry alone.
Though I wish they wernt of my own.
How I long for the day
Where I may lay upon the sand
To hear the waves crash gently ashore
To taste of the salty sea air, as I breath deep.
To watch the gull glide effortlessly upon the air.
Oh, what I'd give for the night.
With summer's gentle wind
as I lay in the grass
and watch a storm roll in
let the rain fall...
Gently now upon my shoulders.
Let it wash me clean,
as I reclaim sanity.
My body trembles, with the mighty roll of the thunder.
I shall scream with the flash of power of the skies!
May its serenity restore hope upon my hollowed somber eyes.
For the day and through the night.
The cleansing of Morns first light.
Be the clearing of my deepened soul.
With moon's gentle glow,
I bid adu,
and with these final words,
I sleep.
