I want a girl - whose breasts are firm and big,
whose legs are long, whose thighs can break a brick.
who laughs with sparkling eyes, who loves the sun,
wears floral dresses and her hair undone.
Who likes to go barefeet, but do not loose,
a step when walking on her high-heeled shoes.
Who laughs when she's happy, cries when she's sad,
giggles when she's silly, 's quiet when she's mad.
Who talks and licks her fingers when she eats
who loves good conversation and who reads.
Who loves my friends and kin like it's her own;
whose heart is mine and mine alone.
Who's wounded, fatally, by Cupid's dart
and dies each time I hold her to my heart.
Who has accepted all my funny ways;
who loves me both through fat and leaner days.

Thank you for your entry in our contest. A poem of love for the woman you have yet to meet, I expect she would love it.

you will be lucky...
but I hope you have found such a charm.
I enjoyed the poem a lot with its rolling lilt and its movement though ideas.
I like the rhyme and I like the rhythm. It is also touched with humour and a wish list written in heaven.

Haha, I really like it!! If only people were thay simple!! Liking your take on a love poem, and the humour used the lines: "Who's wounded, fatally, by Cupid's dart and dies each time I hold her to my heart." really add more depth! Good write!
