Soul Pursiut

                          By
                        RJLewis

I never meant to pursue with such fervor.
But, his soul and mine, are entwined forever.

He may never know the pain I feel.
But, that doesn't make it any less real.

He may never realize my remorse.
Else our paths might lead an alternate course.

Although our timing was all wrong,
He has consumed my thoughts for so long.

As the days and nights pass, one by one,
The more I seek, to be alone.

No friend, or council, can appease my wretched heart.
It's difficult to continue, while we're apart.

If he only knew, that we were meant to be,
My heart and soul would, finally, be set free.

I never meant to pursue at all.
But, when the soul spies it's mate, one is bound to fall!
