I'd rather fly than feel it again
pressed up with Morpheus coiled around my neck,
wrapping my arms around you-
to draw your smile out,
blinding
obscenely pale- a stab of empty light among the red flesh poppies stacked around my sleep
scenting my dreams with mad and incensed revelry
smeared silent with all forms of childlike brutality thick on my hands
grinning wildly
my skull run amuck to see the destruction of the sun
-but death always grins drinking in the void it spirals from
painted in every savage feeling
every need
If I can't plunge headlong into a new insanity I'll suffocate;
perched nauseous on the height of love-
only desperation can feed this absurdity
I can't even be cruel-
malice has lost all joy or capacity to feed my hunger
Sick- I can only watch you and disintegrate
Never before have I been so caught as now
unveiled-
stealing out of reality
with each night of hallucinations,
nostrils alive with the smells of wet earth,
riled skin, and spilled wine
vision chafing to hide my face again
so I can escape unseen to capture all sensations in one mind,
one estranged isolated skin.

Very impressive and a work to be proud of. Loved the imagery. I read through this numerous times, each time finding something new to ponder over and savor. The mark of a truly fine work.
