8:00 pm
it’s a desert of a world
“but it all gets better”
the heartless gain hearts and i get
a two ton stainless teel locomotive graffitied with rain dropped hearts, a photo of Bob Dylan with his guitar
and a one way ticket to Timbuktu
since that’s where “everything gets better”
8:02 pm
i don’t appreciate the way people point without saying anything
as if Blue was a color not an emotion
it makes me sad to put it simply/sad that all i have is
a two ton stainless teel locomotive graffitied with rain dropped hearts, a photo of Bob Dylan with his guitar
and a vision of a pretty girl
named Joy/did she not ask me what i wanted for breakfast the other day?
i left her a nice tip and my number scribbled on the receipt
after all when i asked if i should try something new she said “what have you got to lose?”
8:03 pm
in a world like this
where “it all gets better” seem to be the exception
it’s a wonder we don’t cut out our hearts at birth and lock them away with
a two ton stainless teel locomotive graffitied with rain dropped hearts, a photo of Bob Dylan with his guitar
and our old high school sweethearts who left
when Red became an angry man not a candlelit dinner
8:04 pm
Joy called me to talk about how hard it is to be a lesbian
in such a straight arrow world where Blue is a homeless man playing guitar
on the corner for spare change not a color
old man Blue was lookin’ mighty fine!
dancin’ with his beautiful green-eyed Clementine!
way back in ’69 when “do it yourself still applied
8:05 pm
all i have left is my rain dropped heart
and a picture of Joy/on the back she wrote
“i’ll never forget my heart because you’re in it”
after all what did i have to lose except my heart?

I think you have ...
a lot of promise as a writer, and that this is remarkably cogent and coherent even though it's written to appear to be the opposite.
I do wonder why there's no "s" on "teel locomotive", since it seems it should be steel. Perhaps it's an inside joke or something, but it looks odd and threw me off in reading this.
As for people not commenting much, you should read what True Embrace said to me about that on my homepage here. If the poem is any good, few read it and few comment. If it's intrinsic tripe about boo hoo love, slashing someone's wrist, or maudlin maunderings about poor me, the comments will mount to the stars.
Keep writing and somebody will notice eventually.

No one commented on this.I'm shocked
So you made me smile. The first one of this very long traumatic day. Your poetry always filters out the obvious and lets the reader think and decide.Hope you are well and I see you haven't been on much either.
