We took a wrong turn,
on the back roads of fate.
You and I, I and you!
I can't imagine where I would be,
If only it hadn't been for;
You.
On the back roads of fate,
wrong turns were made.
Crimes, committed.
Lives saved.
Windows broken.
Minds and hearts too,
And not just because of you.
Foolish, but not young,
We traveled those roads!
With a vigor unlike vigor,
That no one had seen before!
Hopefully, we still can travel those back roads.
Even when, we are far too old.
