I'll tell you what love is
and what it means to me,
when a couple stays together
now and for all eternity.
We become vulnerable
to each other through open trust,
we spend time together,
care for each other is a must.
We can be honest
without judgment being a fear,
hand in hand together
as best friends that are dear.
Love is an understanding,
we give each other room,
bear each others burdens
even to the edge of doom.
No matter what happens
we stay side by side,
through good and bad times
together we abide.
With much communication
a real need to share,
we love each other very much
and appreciate each other being there.
We are secure in knowing
that we are the best of friends,
we'll be together forever
in a love that never ends.
