The suspicion kills
The sudden chills
Hidden in the dark
The creeping mind
Left all behind
The place where fear leaves it's mark
Slither slowly
Weak and lowly
Thick and viscous in my brain
Always mocking
Evil flocking
Trapped inside a world of pain
Can you hear?
You shed a tear
The voices say you don't
You think you do
Can you prove?
You probably can, but won't
Shadows linger
Twisted fingers
Sneering, laughing faces
Don't let them watch
Fear cranks up a notch
Morbid, solemn places
Please forgive
You have to live
No matter how bad it gets
Each pill you take
Every last mistake
Your future you have set
The only way
Another day
For now I'll head for the light
Rest my eyes
Say my goodbyes
And lose myself for one more night
Author notes
my first poem on allpoetry! it's kinda morbid, yes, but i enjoy it

Great Job
I really liked this poem, and was surprised that it's your first official one. lol. Although I can't say that I'm insane, I can relate to this in some ways. Depression, loneliness, losing self-control. In a lot of ways, you described the crazy feeling of an anxiety attack. It was well written and flowed really nice, it seemed to just roll off the tongue. I hope I used enough description for you, I hate short comments.
Anyways, good luck in your future writes.
