Silent cries
An angel rejected
Shot back to Earth
Ribbons abandoned
Some say suicide leads to hell
A once innocent girl
Soul blackend with sin
Awaiting the ravens
To carry their messages
Grief strucken
She walks about
Like a ghost
People ignore and avoid
Her sullen eyes dull
Numb on the inside
Refusing the overpowering emotions
Of rage and depression
That water licking at her toes
Like the flames had the previous night
Cooling the burns
She pulls out the ribbon in her hair
Black silk, smooth and soft
Raises it to be carried away
The wind accepts her surrender
A gift before she allows herself to sink
Swallowed by the water
A final resting place
For that rejected angel
