The white sand covered beach of Hawaii
i gently lay upon
thinking of the life i've lived
knowing now it can not go on
it's not by choice that i must go
there's more i'd love to do
i haven't been to Egypt yet
nor swam a sea in Peru
now, all the things i haven't done
seem so irrelevant here and now
the calming feeling from what i see
has taken all that longing for things undone totally away from me
i see a lovely sunset kissing the ocean's surface as it descends
i see the crisp, cool, baby blue water reach up to welcome it in
i see the ocean's crystal clearness all the way to it's floor
i see the picturesque entities who've made their homes down below
i see the inviting waves as they come an go gently inviting me
i see myself lifting up
looking down upon the shall where my essence use to be
i feel at peace, i feel so free as the cooling air seems to uplift me
the further i go the more beauty i know ascending into the sky
in my lifetime i've feared death
and i wonder now that it's here
what did i fear and why?
Author notes
4/11/08 Hawaii is one of the most beautiful and calming places I know and if I could chose the place to die it would be on a Hawaiian beach.....

You've at least explained a scenario, and the sheer elegance that has made me spellbound are the other option of places, which really makes choosing a possibility, although it may not be Hawaii, mmmm, Peru!

I have never been to Hawaii, but if it is really as peaceful as this write portrays; I would like to go. The imagery is beautiful; I can see those sandy beaches right now.
The ending is superb. I love endings. It pulls it all together.
A place like that is truly special
