A light of life
So small in fact
Tiniest of hopes
Your dreams flutter
Still intact
You believe so small
A thing not worth the telling
Wings broken, not beautiful
Like the butterfly should
Your sight impaired
To a small degree
The rest is so dark
Almost blinding
I can't seem to get it through
To let you see
Or think any higher
You stay caged, inside yourself
Trapped in one long barrier
Dark forever as you go
Going for nothing
And hide that small light
From your eyes
Lying just around the turn
Author notes
Sorry...I couldn't think of a better title for it.
