ok, now this was deep. gosh, the mental picture was beautiful. if i had any talent in painting, i'd try it. seriously, this speaks volumes and its only 10 words. it almost makes me think of stories where someone is working for a cause and they say that if they help one person, it is all worth it. it totally defines the meaning and beauty of any soul. simply amazing poem, i can't even describe how it made me feel.

What a great poem for the contest. So very well expressed. Congratulations on the bronze.

so few words and yet that's all you needed!

How wonderfully beautiful...so much truth in so few words...if we can save just one soul we have done amazing work...excellent metaphor and meaning...
Love to you!
Congrat's on the trophy...

Powerful penning! The metaphor of reaching 'into the dark crevices' is perfect. I like how this comes from the perspective of the person willing to reach out...since there is no guarantee the recipient wants saving. Yes, this is definitely deep, and thought provoking.

... spiders hide in dark crevices... i hate spiders.... pretty much the one thing in life that actually scares me is spiders.
i like this poem tho! battling the dark forces of spiders in crevices to save a soul, a wonderful write! =D

that is funny... i can't remember who i just told, but spiders are one thing that scares me, too... but i wasn't even close to thinking that when i wrote this.
now i have haunting chills.

Excellent!
Once again you weave with a strong message.
Love the last line, beautiful piece.
Thanks for sharing, and all the best with this one as well.
I think you may be getting addicted here with the quickies. LOL.
It happens to so many, so, enjoy while the muse flows.
Peace, your friend, Timothy
