All this time
Looking out beyond the faces
In my mind
I stand alone in other places

The past is gone the future clear
As dreams we shared now disappear
And days that linger on
Easy come and easy go
Isn't that the way we show
As something gives then something blows
Then it's forever gone

Sweet revenge
The dish is cold and leaves an after taste
And in the end
The wish you made was such a waste

With words all spent and so afraid
Where nothing's ventured; nothing's gained

Now we're left to carry on
