The final line is a beauty. It seems as though she is "beyond the brink" of depression though. It would make your metaphor in the final line stronger if you brought it into the first line; example: "On weathered planks of depression" Just a thought.

this is such a dark and depressing poem.. I absolutely love this. forgiveness doesn't always come when we need it or perhaps when we want it. excellent take on the prompt.
