cutting open his skin
letting the blood
run red on the canvas
ripping open his soul
so it spills
blues, purples and black
in heavy layers
he cracks open his mind
to spray the finishing touches
of greens, yellows, pinks and finally gray
his whole life is now
put into a display
for anyone who may care
now with his biggest
masterpieces done
he can lay his head down
and rest
