Proverbial Hebrew

How mysterious are your ways,
the enigmas and endless puzzles.
They captivate me all my days,
these ever deepening words.

The simple man cannot fathom,
the wise man is left to stutter,
your simple words confound
and man can only utter.

Sometimes silence is the sound
of wisdom and understanding;
Sometimes they shake the ground
and leave man speechless.

But you know the hidden depths,
thoughts hidden in the heart.
But you know the deep places
that are buried from the start.

You, o Lord, are not far off
from man's secret mind.
Give counsel, o Gracious King
and leave our thoughts behind.

Author notes

I've been checking out Hebrew poetry as of late and tried incorporating some of the style into english.
