I made an appearance for Kubrick
At the end of 2001
When floating in Space was a new trick
My acting career had begun
And now I have regular showings
On hospital ultrasound screens
Which broadcast my comings and goings
In a series of monochrome scenes
I wish that they'd leave me in private
I've got lots of growing to do
I'm just a developing primate
With my own private capsule for two
For that pattern you see is my brother
I'm really just one half of twins
A lovely surprise for my mother
Just wait till her labour begins!
I know that we'll both be a blessing
Alike as two peas in a pod
But it's double the clothes we'll be messing
We two little angels from God
Now turn off that ultrasound scanner
We're trying to get us some sleep
And it moves in a ticklesome manner
With an awfully ear-splitting bleep
Quite soon our debut we'll be making
To strut our four score on Life's stage
And our very first breaths we'll be taking
As our names are marked on the World's page.
