Mothers Run The Universe

mothers run the universe

sing to young foals these newest souls

of the world and its creatures diverse

with tenderest smiles and feminine wiles

they can acquire anything that they want

their gentle words could calm songbirds

but their powers they never will flaunt

for their duty's to love, to give one gentle shove

and then let children take their own dives

they open wide hearts and teach us their arts

from the beginning they shape all our lives

A great way to explain a mother's role - how true, they do guide and nudge and hope their young can make it on their own. Nice write.

Lovely and different. Word art is special....it's better than average!

Only thing is it appeared to be so tight that a breeze couldn't flow through..at least to me. Maybe it was the lining....could perhaps double space the verses? Just an idea!

    nice

not just to mothers but to woman in general, beautiful, womanly intuition, most men are envious but never tell, being raised by a single motherand my sister, picked up on some of it, and alot of the sensitivity, so can actually relate to this alot, nice write, and thanks for your kind comments

Mothers...find ways to shape the world...
in situations that don't ever see...
because they teach the very fiber of morals
that we take all though our lives...
somehow it strengthens each & every of us at sometime!
    well done my friend!
I did enjoy this very much!
Keep penning on one stroke at a time!

This is such a sweet poem! It's a very fitting tribute to mothers, indeed .. and they certainly DO rule the world! I like the rhyming scheme that you used .. kind of ..
    aa
    b
    cc
    b
    dd
    e
etc type thing, I see .. it works very well, though I must admit I don't think I've ever seen it before! Very creative, indeed!
Thank you for entering my contest, I'm sure my mom will love this poem! ^_^
