Teddy, this is just for you-
Always there, soft and cuddly
to keep me safe from harm at night.
But what you may never know,
is what I know,
That this Teddy has taught me how to fight.
Now I don't mean to say
In a physical way,
With blood and guts - that's gross.
But what my Teddy has taught me,
is something quite amazing
you see,
About strength, love and care.
You see, my Teddy is a fighter
Through life's despair.
He taught me how to see,
even if in need -
Torn apart; you can always be repaired.
You can always give love
even if you've got no hands
It's all about life in the end.
Keeping you safe from the ones who harm,
This is my Teddy -
My Bear,
My friend.
Author notes
I remember when I was younger and I was going through so much pain, my Teddy Bears would always keep me safe... safe from the world... safe from the pain.

Good write. We all find comfort in soft furry friends. Love comes through them if we are open to the experience. They enhance our connection to the universe and abundance of love and security.

AW! That was adorkable (to quote jess) It was so sweet and innocent. Very childlike. This a very different coat that you wear very well. Fits perfectly on your shoulders
. Anyway, I usually like to try to improve it a little, but there's nothing to be improved. I thought it was way too cute. I loved the lines:
"Torn apart; you can always be repaired.
You can always give love
even if you've got no hands"
That's why I love my little plushie. Keeps me safe with his gun (yes, my plushie has a gun. Leave him alone he doesn't kill anybody with it!)
Keep up the great work. love you!
