Eye to Eye Contact

  

Eye contact is important.  Probing mind

Yearns to discern Life’s signals, to decode

Enigmas of existence on the road

To understanding, ever needs to find

Out whys and wherefores which define mankind.

Escape routes tempt behind cocooned abode,

Yet each strives to survive life’s whip and goad.

Each blueprint building block holds undefined

Creative energy, by Time designed,

Or by some ‘hand of fate’, till overload

Neutralizes circuits, fuses blowed

To atoms iridescent.  Spurn purblind,

Allow eyes wise ways linking parts to whole,

Connect Through windows to translate true soul.

    I had to highlight this to read it. What happened to the cool backgrounds? lol. I guess that i get the point in it being an acrostic of 'Eye Contact" and it's unholy background! Thanks so much for the share! best wishes to you, my friend!

    yes, with eyes we have the power to hypnotise, suggest, hide or lie to and from others, but through them intuition can also read the coded secrets within anothers soul, therein lies our vulnerability and the quest for love and understanding.

    Eye contact is an important part of life, as is body language, though we probably don't always realise how much we communicate through these methods. We simply take it for granted, which makes me wonder if a blind person compensates just as well through another sense to gain a similar amount of communication. Eyes also communicate our surroundings to us and allow us to explore them in far greater detail than any other sense, I think. "A picture paints a thousand words" may be a little cliche but it so very true. We could spend an eternity simply trying to describe what is in front of us right at this precise moment but this poem communicates its picture extremely well.

    eyes are powerful instruments ... they can send out energy, both positive and negative ... they can capture and hook another, in need to overpower ... they can console another, letting heart's nectar flow through them ...

    they are just perfect mirrors, in which we can see our own (w)hol(i)ness ...
